Six years ago today we brought our sweet Minx home

Six years ago today we brought our sweet Minx home to join our family. She’s brought us so much joy and we’re so glad she’s still here. She’s fighting lymphoma now and taking chemo like a champ. It’s not what we envisioned, of course, and it’s most certainly not fun but we’re praying for the best. As luck would have it, she did test positive for the MDR1 gene mutation, so the road ahead and her treatment is a bit more challenging, but we are taking it day by day. She’s such a love bug and despite hating riding in the car, she gets in without issue each and every time I take her to her treatments at MedVet in Cincinnati. I just keep telling her we’re going to kick the cancer! Praying that’s what we do 🙏🏻🙏🏻 In the meantime we are giving her all the love and care she needs and deserves, navigating the challenges as they arise, and counting our blessings that she’s still here. Happy Gotcha Day Minx! We love you so much!! 🩷🐶🐾

What a fabulous day!! Jourdan graduated last December but due to COVID, all graduation ceremonies were switched to virtual events. Today she finally got to walk across the stage!! I’m so grateful that she got to experience a real life commencement ceremony at UK! 🎓🎓🎓 Today my heart is extremely full and happy ❤️❤️❤️ and I’m SO proud of her and all she’s accomplished. 🎉🎉🎉
